They almost called themselves The Sex Stars of 1977, but nixed that idea 'cause they wanted a shot at the big time. That shot came when they released a song called "Gay Bar." It was a hit. Especially in England, which is where their manager lives. The band thought it might be fun to live there too, but soon moved back when they realized that London was, in their opinion, "VAPID."
