Roaring out of Minneapolis in the late 80s, Babes in Toyland were a harbinger of the punk that was to come. Though never part of the scene themselves, the band heavily influenced the Riot Grrrl movement. From screams to baby doll dresses, the band was a virtual blueprint for many of the larger acts that came to dominate in the latter half of the 90s. Sonically, they shared common ground with bands like Sonic Youth and the Melvins - loud, heavy, and unafraid to experiment. Come see these legends in action.
