Select DC proudly presents their summer showcase. For over a year, Select DC has been dedicated in enriching the cultural landscape of the district, by booking some of the top performers in the realms of noise, industrial, and techno. Friday, September 5 we welcome the brooding scorched techno of DKA / Not Not Fun recording artist Profligate (Noah Anthony). For years now, Anthony's sonically morphing blend of noise and seering techno has pushed him to the forefront of the genre, along giants like Container, Jerome, and Pete Swanson. Ascetic House recording artist Saran Man (J.R. Nelson) remains one of the more intriguing performers in the constantly evolving noise community of New York. Half work of art, half noise excursion, Saran Man is a delight to both the eyes and ears. Nick Klein, of Primitive Languages fame, makes his DC debut. Burgeoning on the edge of post-industrial squall and fully-realized power electronics, Klein bludgeons audiences with a pummeling onslaught of digital and analog electronics. Corporate Park's Shane English also marks his DC debut with his unique, lurching take on minimal wave. Texas does, what New York don't.
