First establishing himself as an influential poet, and then as an award-winning screenwriter/actor, Saul Williams is now best known as an MC. His approach to the mic, though, isn't exactly traditional. Rather than spit rhymes, Williams delivers frenzied spoken word over dark and often abrasive music. This may not be traditional hip hop, but it's great hip hop.
