Blue Plains is an indie rock band from Washington, DC. With a musical wingspan from singer-songwriter to arena rock, their music has been compared to Wilco, Radiohead, Mumford, and Arcade Fire. But with hundreds of influences, they sound like Blue Plains more than anything else. Recorded on vintage analog tape equipment with the venerable Don Zientara of Inner Ear Studios and mastered with Smithsonian sound engineer and Grammy winner Pete Reiniger, the band's first release blends alternative rock, roots, and indie sensibility into creative songwriting and original arrangements that transcend alt-rock norms.
